Workshop for Families of Prisoners
Saturday 28 February,

We are organising this workshop because we know that one of the tragic repercussions of drug use for families is seeing their loved ones go to prison or in involved with the criminal justice system.
The aim of this workshop is to help with many of the practical and emotional issues such as visits, drug treatment in prisons, procedures for bringing children to visit, maintain family life and dealing with the worries for loved ones in prison.

This workshop is being delivered with the support of U-Casadh, a social inclusion project who provide support to people who have come into contact with the criminal justice system.
All facilitators and family members are encouraged to attend.

Merry Christmas & Peaceful New Year

December 19th, 2014

We wish all the members of our family support groups a very Happy Christmas and and peaceful new year. This is our favourite poem for you by our favourite poet John O’Donoghue

A New Year Blessing

On the day when
The weight deadens
On your shoulders
And you stumble,
May the clay dance
to balance you.

And when your eyes
Freeze behind
the grey window
And the ghost of loss
Gets onto you,
May a flock of colours,
Indigo, red, green
And azure blue,
Come to awaken in you
A meadow of delight.

When the canvas frays
In the currach of thought
And a stain of ocean
Blackens beneath you,
May there come across the waters
A path of yellow moonlight
To bring you safely home.

May the nourishment of the earth be yours,
May the clarity of light be yours,
May the fluency of the ocean be yours,
May the protection of the ancestors be yours.

And so may a slow
Wind work these words
Of love around you,
An invisible cloak
To mind your life

From your friends
